On May 16th the big presentation of marathon rally "AFRICA ECO RACE 2019" took place in the Russian capital - Moscow. About one hundred guests and journalists attended the conference hall of the World Trade Center - Crown Plaza.
After the smiles and the champagne on last January 14th on the shores of Lac Rose, all the participants agreed: "Can’t wait for the next edition! ".
The AFRICA ECO RACE team got straight to work in order to prepare the 2019 edition.
At the program, a course with as little liaisons as possible, 100% sand stages, with landscapes that only Africa can offer, a “ 500 MILES “ stage without any assistance, and of course, the mythical Lac Rose.
Our keywords, share the passion of cross-country rallies to live an extraordinary and unforgettable adventure! Strong emotions and good memories are guaranteed!
The organization of AFRICA ECO RACE prepares a new adventure in Turkmenistan!
" TURKMEN DESERT RACE " will be held from 11 to 15 September 2018 (checks on 9th & 10th) from Amul to Hazar, entry and exit point for the nomad caravans that followed the " Great Silk Road" in the ancient times.
Now is the end of the tenth chapter of the AFRICA ECO RACE!
Jean Louis SCHLESSER and his team wish to thank all of those who took part in the success of this tenth anniversary: competitors, partners, providers, federations and volunteers.
The 10th edition of the Africa Eco Race officially ended this Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Lac Rose. All competitors were congratulated as they should be after more than 6,000 kilometers travelling across Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal.
Last day for all participants of the 10th edition of the Africa Eco Race to honor all those who managed to reach Dakar after more than 6000 kilometers. The Lac Rose welcomed these heroes who have all been able to parade on the podium in front of the public.
The last stage of the 10th edition of the Africa Eco Race was here to confirm the winners of the competition. On a fast track of 219 kilometers, all participants could enjoy the last leg with no pressure and putted an end to their efforts over the last 15 days.
The 10th edition of the Africa Eco Race is giving its best two days before the arrival in Dakar. After the most difficult stage yesterday, the sand is still a big part of the menu for the competitors today with a 453 kilometers leg. You had to be patient on arrival to see the fastest finish two hours behind schedule.
A new loop was on the program of the day allowing a little rest for the assistance and the organization who could stay at the bivouac all day long. Meanwhile, the competitors took part in a 340-kilometer stage through the prestigious dunes of Mauritania. A stage full of suspense and surprises.
After one night without being allowed to approach their vehicles, the competitors took part of the second lef of the marathon this morning. A 439 kilometers leg with beautiful dune passages under a blazing sun was waiting for them. The real difficulty of the Mauritanian sand and the pressure of the race have probably revealed the future winners of the 10th edition of the Africa Eco Race.
Competition and sharing define the spirit of the Africa Eco Race

We congratulate AFRICA ECO RACE for their support AMADE and enabling Mauritanian and Senegalese students to have access to solar lamps. A child with light at home, is a child able to do his homework when night comes.

For us as service-team, the AER feels like going on a road-trip with the whole family ! Together we follow the ancient African trails. Together with the complete organization of the AER we give it all to bring our teams to the legendary Lac Rose !
Being true fans of the AER we enjoy the whole concept as you find in no other race, as one of our SSV pilots reminded me, there is only one real race to Dakar !

The enthusiam and passion of the team as well as their constant research of bringing eco-responsable actions to their event, make the AFRICA ECO RACE one of the unmissable events of the Principality and we are proud to welcome them every year. We encourage everybody to buy a maximum of solar lamps provided by AMADE and AFRICA ECO RACE. More than a daily use, they will enable senegalese and mauritanian children to walk safely home after dark and will contribute to reducing the racing vehicules' carbon footprint.
