Welcome to Mauritania: The Challenge Begins

Technical tracks and pure off-road navigation to reach Benichab.

The second part of the rally will kick off on January 6 with an early-morning transfer to the Guerguerat border post. All competitors will cross into Mauritania to reach the start of the special stage leading to Benichab, the location of the first Mauritanian bivouac. This selective stage will feature a mix of terrains, alternating between rocky tracks and sandy stretches, skirting the famous Banc d’Arguin without entering it. Also on the agenda: pure navigation with full off-road sections.

The enthusiam and passion of the team as well as their constant research of bringing eco-responsable actions to their event, make the AFRICA ECO RACE one of the unmissable events of the Principality and we are proud to welcome them every year. We encourage everybody to buy a maximum of solar lamps provided by AMADE and AFRICA ECO RACE. More than a daily use, they will enable senegalese and mauritanian children to walk safely home after dark and will contribute to reducing the racing vehicules' carbon footprint.
