RATE CHANGE ON SEPTEMBER 16th

On the AFRICA ECO RACE, as well as on other events, a fee schedule is set up according to the date of entry. The sooner a competitor registers, the better the rate is.

Currently, the rates are in their second “period” and will be until September 15th 2017.
This means that there are only less than 15 days left to register to the AFRICA ECO RACE at a lower rate.
So, get to your keyboards quickly and register !

A 2 DAY VIP TRIP AT THE FINISH IN SENEGAL

Whether with their families, friends or partners, the competitors of the AFRICA ECO RACE like to share their adventure.

The ideal way is to have them do the VIP trip for the finish of the AFRICA ECO RACE.

After being picked-up at the Dakar airport on Friday January 12th, 2018 and a night at the rally hotel, the King Fahd Palace, on Saturday January 13th, the VIP’s are driven in Off Road vehicles directly on the bivouac of Saint-Louis where they’ll join the caravan of the Rally. A nice opportunity to have diner under the big tent of the bivouac, to attend the last briefing, to visit the different teams busy preparing vehicles before the final stage of the next day.

On Sunday January 14th, after a night under the magnificent starry sky of Senegal, the VIPs will take the road at dawn towards “Lac Rose” and will participate to the podium ceremony. A moment full of emotions where both the laureates and the finishers are relieved to have reached the end of this extraordinary adventure. Afterwards, they will return to Dakar where the King Fahd Palace hotel  will be the moment for all to recover a little before a beautiful evening around a dinning-cocktail, facing the Atlantic Ocean with the presence of a typical Senegalese folkloric group.

After a most comfortable night at the King Fahd Palace, on Monday January 15th 2018 will be a free day to discover Dakar or simply stroll by the pool or the ocean with ideal temperatures at this time of year in Senegal.
An attractive program and a real escape in the heart of this great African rally starting at 1100€.

THE AFRICA ECO RACE TEAM ON FIELD

The route of the 2018 edition of the AFRICA ECO RACE is now finalized. As a result, the recos team left for three weeks and around 6,500 km on Moroccan, Mauritanian and Senegalese soil to prepare the road books.
A precise work but ultimately securing quality and precision that allow the competitors to have total confidence both in terms of navigation and acknowledgement of the dangers on the tracks. At the same time, numerous meetings with local, regional authorities or government officials are held in order to prepare the route in the most efficient way.

CHINGUETTI AND OUADANE ON SCHEDULE IN MAURITANIA

This year again, the AFRICA ECO RACE should include some novelties.

On the racing side first with, as previously announced "500 Miles" stage; a super stage with a “park fermé” set into the same bivouac on one of the two Mauritanian loops.
Also on the course’s side with stages in Chinguetti and Ouadane, two cities in the magnificent region of Adrar and classified as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage since 1996.
A return in this part of Mauritania which will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of this 10th edition of the AFRICA ECO RACE.

THE 2-WD ON THE SAME WEIGHT SCALE

Recently, a new FIA rule appeared: "T1 - Two-wheel drive at 1580 kg ..."

On the AFRICA ECO RACE, we will maintain the weight scale of the previous years, which will allow the small T1 Buggies two-wheel drive to compete without having to add weight.
