After almost two years of absence due to the pandemic and border closures, the witnessed huge excitement from our participants despite the delaying of the 2022 edition of the AFRICA ECO RACE from March to October; a complicated schedule given the number of events postponed to this period. As a result, even though the lineup will not be as large as the last edition, the AFRICA ECO RACE 2022 will return, for the greatest pleasure of all!

The caravan of this 14th edition will count 550 people, 200 vehicles with 80 in race and over 30 nationalities represented.

The rally will leave from the Principality of Monaco in a festive way with a night start, on October 15, 2022, quai Antoine 1 er .
After two nights aboard the boat set up especially for this 14th edition by GNV, the racing will begin on October 18, from Nador, Morocco.

The key points of the AFRICA ECO RACE 2022 route revealed in June:

  • 6,000 km of adventure through Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal,
  • Many novelties,
  • An arrival in the purest tradition, at the Lac Rose in Dakar,
  • 1 special stage in Senegal,
  • 6 special stage - bivouac start,
  • 6 special stage - bivouac arrival,
  • 2 loops in Mauritania.

 


As on each edition, the AFRICA ECO RACE will have global media coverage but also several offers to book content packages, available to competitors for their own communication. This is made possible thanks to the internal production team which counts no less than 20 people; journalists, technicians, editors, cameramen etc.

In terms of communication, a large amount of content will be produced each day, including 13-minute summaries, daily sports summaries, the image of the day, not to mention the LIVE FACEBOOK every evening, as well as some new formats.

This content will be broadcast on the AFRICA ECO RACE digital platforms, but also on the event's partner television channels. A detailed program for the distribution of this content will be communicated the week before the start of the Rally.
