SECURITY OF THE ROUTE
All year round, the organisers work in close collaboration with the various ministries of each country and solid relations were born.
Before even doing the recees for the route, the maps of the detailed projects for the rally route is submitted to the government for approval of the authorities and territorial collectivities of the countries crossed.
Once their authorisation given, they are informed of the planning for the recees of the organisation team who, once there, make the most to meet the representant of each region to adjust, if needed, the route.
Once the rally started, the government authorities deploy their security staff, police or army, to secure not only the bivouac but also the roads. A daily recap of vehicles and people on the bivouac is done.
In Morocco, the entry and exit formalities were never as smooth than in 2020 due to the background work done in full transparency with the authorities.
In Mauritania, the relation of trust is so solid that the visas are not done at the border but in our first bivouac which enables a more fluidity and comfort for everybody.
In Senegal, the border crossing is as smooth as the previous ones.
