International event on behalf of the French Motorcycle Federation and federations of the crossed countries: Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal. 

The event is held in accordance with the FFM Sporting Codes and the Supplementary Regulations.

CLASSIFICATION

Every day:

A general classification will be put up on the official board at each bivouac. 
There will be separate classification for each category and the MOTUL XTREME RIDER class.

Prize giving:

• The AFRICA ECO RACE rewards a maximum of riders either with a trophy or with an AFRICA ECO RACE medal.
• The first three riders in the scratch as well as the first three MOTUL XTREME RIDER will receive a magnificent bronze trophy.
• Each category and class will also be rewarded with a trophy.

Some Moto/Quad riders wish to participate in the AFRICA ECO RACE to challenge themselves and experience the rally the « hard way », like a hero, without any service vehicle or mechanic. 

IN ADDITION OF THE TRANSPORT, riders of the MOTUL XTREME RIDER will benefit of:

When arriving at the checks:

• A dedicated structure
• An appropriate equipment
• An attentive staff
• Several lubricants and cleaning products provided by MOTUL– upon available stock
• Several goodies

A dedicated communication: 

• A daily mini-clip MOTUL XTREME RIDER,
• LIVE FACEBOOK from the bivouac,
• Shared video coverage of the event on social media as well as the AFRICA ECO RACE programs,
• Photo posts on all social media channels.

The MOTUL XTREME RIDER trophy: 

A dedicated ranking MOTUL XTREME RIDER will be posted every day at the bivouac,
At the end of the rally, on the Lac Rose podium:

• The 3 first winners of the category will be awarded with a dedicated bronze trophy 
• The other riders will receive a medal

For its latest edition, the AFRICA ECO RACE had the immense pleasure of welcoming Franco ACERBIS,the founder of the ACERBIS brand , leading manufacture of accessories and technical sport clothings.

This experience and adventure on the rally has given rise to a partnership between ACERBIS and the AFRICA ECO RACE to support the motorbike riders: the ROOKIE RIDER by ACERBIS trophy.

To take part, riders must meet the following conditions:

• Be aged 35 or under (at the time of starting the rally: 30/12/2023)
• Must never have taken part in a rally lasting more than 8 days
• Must be equipped with ACERBIS hand protectors.

ACERBIS will provide riders taking part in the ROOKIE RIDER Trophy with :

• 1 clothing kit consisting of a pair of pants, a jersey, a pair of gloves, a jacket
• A tent
• A 40% discount on ACERBIS products

The winners of the ROOKIE RIDER by ACERBIS trophy will receive a discount on their entry for the 2025 race:

• 1st: 15% off
• The 2nd: 10% discount
• The 3rd: 5% discount

Once the racing vehicle(s) entered, the assistance vehicle(s) may be registered later.
Therefore, assistance will benefit from the same offer as the race registration. 

Example: registration of a racing / raid vehicle at the preferential rate. Registration for assistance after the preferential rates: the rate applied is the same as the one of the race / raid vehicle, ie "the preferential rate".

Please note assistance must be entered in the same file as race / raid vehicle. The AFRICA ECO RACE cannot invoice several people or entities for the same team.

ARE COMPULSORY: 

GPS UNIK2 - ERTF

Competitors must rent the mandatory GPS directly from the Organizer’s exclusive supplier (ERTF), UNIK2. 

Competitors will therefore all be equipped with a single model GPS, with integrated warning Sentinel and interactive horn.
Only ERTF brand equipment or ERTF approved equipment can be paired with the GPS. Connection of any other equipment is prohibited.
Cost of the rental GPS UNIK2 : 521€ HT

The purchase of the fitting kits (bracket, antenna, wires, power supply) of these materials is at the competitors’ expense.

All vehicles must be at the checks with all the mounting kits already installed on board with operational electrical connections.
The various safety equipment will be provided during the administrative checks.

NEWTRACK – MARLINK

The NewTrack is a safety and communication equipment to be rented exclusively by the Organizer’s supplier (MARLINK).

It transmits real time positions of the competitors to the Race PC. This vehicle tracking satellite system will be on the website www.africarace.com throughout the rally.
Cost of the IRITRACK rental : 570€ HT

The purchase of the fitting kits (bracket, antenna, wires, power supply) of these materials is at the competitors’ expense.

All vehicles must be at the checks with all the mounting kits already installed on board with operational electrical connections.
The different safety equipment will be provided during the administrative checks.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Besides the mandatory safety material, it is obligatory for each rider to have:

• 1 flexible 3-liter tank bag carried by the pilot (Camelbak type) at the start of each stage,
• 1 lunch pack (given on the bivouac, every morning),
• 1 flashlight, if possible flashing,
• 1 distress mirror,
• 1 compass,
• 1 lighter,
• 1 aluminium survival blanket (2m x 1m approx.),
• 2 distress flares: 1-night hand light, 1 cyalume,
• 1 first aid medical kit,
• 3 straps,
• Back and pectoral protections,
• Airbag (download info down the page)
• Approved helmet (F.I.M. standards) less than 5 years old.

AUTONOMY

250 kms on Selective Sectors. For security, an additional autonomy of 10% is required. 

REFUELING

• A refueling, every 250kms on selective sectors, is not included in the entry fees.
• Refueling in selective sections will mean a 15-minute-neutralization.
• Refueling on Mauritanian bivouacs is not included in the entry fees.
• On liaison sections, the local petrol stations will be indicated in the road-book.

Compulsory: An International 2024 FIM license : annual or one event.

Careful: the nationality of the rider on the entry list and the classifications must correspond to country of the federation in which the license was subscribed.

2 STEP INSCRIPTION PROCESS

You have to:

• Create an account or connect to an existing account 
• MY ACCOUNT / VEHICLES: Create a vehicle and enter the dimensions. If you do not yet have the model, simply fill the slots with “X” 
• MY ACCOUNT / MY TEAMS: Create your team 
• MY ACCOUNT / MY CREWS: Create your race crew by attaching the vehicle 
• MY ACCOUNT / MY CREWS: On the right: ACTION/MANAGER/MEMBER: Create the pilot and co-pilot. If you do not have all the names, fill the slot with “X”.

To complete and finalize the team file

All slots need to be filled in your own time. 

A copy of the following documents have to be uploaded 

• Each passport of each person valid 6 months after your return.
• Each valid driving licence (back and front) corresponding to the category of vehicle entering the race.  
• Each vehicle registration document (including the trailer).  

Each Registration File must be finalised and fully completed at the latest before the date of the entry closing.
