ASSISTANCE - BIVOUAC/BIVOUAC

REGISTRATION CONDITIONS

• All the bivouacs are accessible to 2 WD.
• FIA licences are not necessary for assistance crews.
• For security reasons: Each service crew must be at least 2 persons in each vehicle. It is compulsory that at least 2 persons of each crew have a driving licence.

All Assistance crews must be linked to a racing competitor to be accepted. 

SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS

Failure to comply with the supplementary regulations of the event could result in the disqualification of the competitor in race to which the vehicle / crew members is (are) attached.

Are included in the fees :

Boat transportation two-ways of each vehicle registered
Boat transport for Morocco of each participant registered, 2 nights
The administrative customs formalities

All the vehicles will be measured at the technical checks. If the dimensions are different to those registered initially: 

• Participants must pay the additional cost
• The organization cannot be held responsible if the vehicle cannot be loaded because of lack of space on the rally boat Europe / Morocco - Dakar / France

The fee applied will correspond to the one applicable at the time of the initial registration in race/raid category and respect of the payment schedule.
Once the racing vehicle(s) entered, the assistance vehicle(s) may be registered later.
Therefore, assistance will benefit from the same offer as the race registration. 

Example: registration of a racing / raid vehicle at the preferential rate. Registration for assistance after: the rate applied is the same as the one of the race / raid vehicle, ie "the preferential rate".

Please note: assistance must be entered in the same file as race / raid vehicle. The AFRICA ECO RACE cannot invoice several people or entities for the same team. 

Are compulsory:

GPS UNIK4 bike - ERTF

Participants must rent the mandatory GPS from the Organizer’s supplier (ERTF).  
The GPS enables to do speed control and download the Assistance route. Price for the GPS rental : 397 €.

The purchase of the fitting kits (bracket, antenna, wires, power supply) of these materials is at the competitors’ expense.

All vehicles must be at the checks with all the mounting kits already set up with operational electrical connections.
The various safety equipment will be provided during the administrative checks.

SMALLTRACK – MARLINK

The SmallTrack is a safety and communication equipment to be rented exclusively from the Organizer’s supplier (MARLINK).

The purchase of the fitting kits (bracket, antenna, wires, power supply) of these materials is at the competitors’ expense.

All vehicles must be at the checks with all the mounting kits already set up with operational electrical connections.
The various safety equipment will be provided during the administrative checks.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT

For safety reasons, crews must carry with them, in their vehicles, the following equipment:

• Safety belts or 4 points harness minimum for all the crew members,
• 1 manual powder fire extinguisher of 2kg homologated,
• 2 external mirrors, 
• Trailing rings at the front and at the back,
• A laminated windshield,
• 1 powerful horn,
• 2 spare wheels,
• 1 fluorescent jacket/pers, 
• 1 towing rope (10 meters), 
• 1 first aid kit, 
• 1 seat belt cutter accessible, 
• 1 foil survival blanket per person. 

AUTONOMY

600 kms. For security reasons, an additional autonomy of 10% is recommended.

REFUELING

• Refueling will take place at the petrol stations indicated on the road-book.
• If there is no station near the bivouac, the Organizer will set up a fuel order at the bivouac which will be delivered in barrels.

2 STEP INSCRIPTION PROCESS

As from now, to benefit from the best offer possible on your entry 

You have to:

• Create an account or connect to an existing account 
• MY ACCOUNT / VEHICLES: Create a vehicle and enter the dimensions. If you do not yet have the model, simply fill the slots with “X” 
• MY ACCOUNT / MY TEAMS: Create your team 
• MY ACCOUNT / MY CREWS: Create your race crew by attaching the vehicle 
• MY ACCOUNT / MY CREWS: On the right: ACTION/MANAGER/MEMBER: Create the pilot and co-pilot. If you do not have all the names, fill the slot with “X”. 

Any information can be modified any time before the close of the entries.

To complete and finalize the team file

All slots need to be filled in your own time.
A copy of the following documents have to be uploaded :

• Each passport of each person valid 6 month after the rally.
• Each valid driving licence (back and front) corresponding to the category of vehicle entering the race. 
• Each vehicle registration document (including the trailer).  

Each Registration File must be finalised and fully completed before the date of the entry closing.
